Crane Request
Our customer required the installation of a travelling overhead crane for handling and transferring of large panes of glass around their workshop.
The customer from Philippines needed to supply lifting coverage over a large working area so the crane load hook needed to be able to be positioned anywhere within 3 axis, allowing for hoisting up and down, travel left to right and long travel forward and backwards.
The Solution
We supplied the customer with a single girder overhead travelling crane total 25 metres in length and with a span of 9.5 metres and a safe working load of 5t as required.
This system was fitted with a electric wire rope hoist which benefits from a travelling motor gear box, ensuring smooth travelling speeds, whilst also offering dual speed lifting crane company and variable speed for cross and long travel motions, all of which is controlled with a radio remote control system.
As the main uses for this overhead crane are to assist in transferring material around the workshop and loading/unloading trucks, the radio remote control system we supplied with the electric wire rope hoist makes for a safer transition when doing so.
